These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the use of services provided by Domains in a Box, a domain name agency specialising in the buying, selling, and hosting of domain names. By engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. About Us

Domains in a Box operates under the laws of England and Wales, with registered operations in the UK, Spain, and Gibraltar. We are an Accredited Channel Partner of NOMINET, the official registry for .uk domain names.

2. Definitions

  • Client / You / Your – the person, company, or entity purchasing services.

  • We / Us / Our – Domains in a Box.

  • Services – includes domain registration, acquisition, selling, brokerage, transfer, DNS hosting, and email/domain hosting.

  • Domain Name – an internet domain name including any .uk or other TLD extension.

3. Services Provided

We offer:

  • Domain name registration and renewal

  • Domain name acquisition and brokerage

  • Redundant IP asset disposal

  • Domain and DNS hosting

  • Domain portfolio management

  • Escrow and secure domain transfers

4. Domain Registration and Renewals

  • All .uk domain registrations are subject to NOMINET’s Terms and Conditions.

  • Registrations are for fixed periods (typically 1–10 years) and are renewable.

  • You are responsible for ensuring your contact details are up-to-date to receive renewal notifications.

  • Failure to renew a domain on time may result in suspension or loss of the domain.

5. Domain Sales and Acquisitions

  • We may act as a broker or intermediary in domain sales.

  • All sales are final upon agreement and payment unless otherwise stated.

  • We use secure transfer protocols and/or third-party escrow services to protect both buyers and sellers.

  • Transfer of ownership will be confirmed upon receipt of full payment.

6. Hosting Services

  • Hosting includes domain name pointing, DNS management, and optional web/email hosting.

  • We do not guarantee 100% uptime, though we strive for reliable and secure service.

  • Abuse, illegal content, or activities conducted through hosted domains may result in immediate termination of service.

7. Fees and Payments

  • All fees are quoted in GBP (£) unless otherwise stated.

  • Payment must be made in full before any service is initiated.

  • We reserve the right to change our pricing structure with 30 days’ notice.

8. Your Responsibilities

  • You must not use our services for any unlawful activity.

  • You agree to keep your contact and billing details current and accurate.

  • You agree to comply with all relevant policies from NOMINET and other applicable registries.

9. Dispute Resolution

  • Domain name disputes will be handled according to NOMINET’s Dispute Resolution Service (DRS).

  • For non-.uk domains, we follow the dispute policies of the relevant registry (e.g., ICANN UDRP for .com domains).

10. Limitation of Liability

  • We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

  • Our maximum liability shall not exceed the fees paid for the service in question.

  • We are not responsible for registry or third-party delays or failures.

11. Termination

We may terminate any agreement without notice if you breach these Terms or use our services in a manner that could damage our reputation or operations.

12. Jurisdiction and Applicable Law

These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. All disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. You will be notified of material changes via email or through our website.
